What foods should you eat for healthy teeth? There are foods that are beneficial to your dental well-being, and that strengthen your teeth and gums. We want you to have the healthiest teeth possible, so we compiled a list of the foods that will give your teeth an extra boost when fighting bacteria and remaining durable.

Crunchy Vegetables and Fruit: Fruits and vegetables that are crunchy and high in water content often strengthen and clean your teeth. They are high in vitamins, fiber, and they stimulate the gums. Carrots, apples, celery, and broccoli are included in this category.

Dairy: The main tooth strengthener in dairy foods is calcium. Your enamel is largely made up of a calcium based compound. Also, yogurt has certain enzymes that strengthen the immune system in your mouth. Dairy foods include yogurt, cheese, and milk.

Almonds: These are a great source calcium and protein and are low in sugar.

Leafy Greens: Fibrous and vitamin-loaded, dark green vegetables are sure to make your teeth stronger.

Cranberries – Cranberries have special polyphenols that coat your teeth and help prevent plaque from sticking to them.

When shopping for healthy foods, you should avoid processed grains, soda, candy, coffee, and alcohol. You don’t need to give those foods up, but you should at least rinse your mouth out while consuming them.
